Feedbacks
This short article's purpose is to provide you with an overview of the subject. Details will be covered in each module in this KB.
1 Feedback (via the Analyze module)
1.1 Details available in the Map view and Grid view
As seen above, in the Map portion you can view all of the Feedback that have been created. In the Grid view you can select any feedback and it will be displayed on the map. All feedback details are presented in the columns, you can view the following details: The Last Update (date and time), Creation Date, Name and Address, Operator, Route, Type of Feedback, Activity, Vehicle, Status and Priority, etc.
Note 1: You can Filter and search columns, re-order them, etc.
1.2 Using the Feedback ToolbarThe Feedback toolbar allows you to search a Feedback from the last hour to 48 hours, from 7 days up to the last 30 days or even by a Custom Date. You can switch from Map or Grid only views or have a Split view, remove any applied filters (using the Funnel icon) and even create template views with our Grid Manager.

- You can choose the Feedback view, either to Map only, Grid only or Split View.
- Map button– see only the map and your feedbacks
- Grid button – see all of the feedbacks details and properties
- Split button – see both the Map and the Grid view
- The Cone icon will allow you to Remove all applied Filters in the Grid: if you have specific filters applied in the Grid view, selecting the Filter icon will remove them.
- You can access the Grid Manager: The Grid Manager will allow you to create, edit, select and delete any templates you create. A Grid Template are specific views of the Grid and columns.
- You can directly Create a Feedback in the platform: see the next section 1.3 – Manually Adding a Feedback further below for more details.
To Create a new Feedback: you can manually create feedback in the platform by clicking on the Add Feedback button to create your feedback in the platform. You will need to complete each tab section: Details, Form, Map and Attachment sections with all of your Feedback details.
Note: Some fields in the Details tab are mandatory fields and will have a Red outline and will require an input. When you have completed all details required in each tab, a Green Checkmark appears beside the tab name:
Some Tabs may require further details based on your input and you will see a red exclamation point appear on a tab. These tabs will require some additional details and once the data is entered, they will turn green.
The Details Tab: Here you can list all of the Feedback details: Add a name: Enter a name
- Type of Feedback: Choose a value (Pothole, collision, Raised manhole, etc.)
- Activity: chose from the list (Global, Scraping, Street Sweeping, Snow removal, etc.)
- Form: use any of your created forms available in the drop down list
- Note: Add any specific notes about the feedback
- Priority: Add a Priority level for the feedback (Normal, Low, High, etc.)
- Status: Select the status of the Feedback (Open Closed, In progress)
- Address: Enter in the address location for your Feedback
Once Complete, click on the SAVE to save your Feedback.
In the Forms Tab: If you have selected to use a form option from the available forms listed in the Details tab, you will have the Form properties available where you can populate the Feedback details within your form.
In the Map Tab: Allows you to further define or change the map address on the map and view the Feedback location directly on the map.
In the Attachments Tab: Is where you can view any documents and/or upload any attachments of photos, forms associated with the feedback.
1.4 Viewing a Feedback Details, Modify the Feedback Status or Converting a Feedback into Tasks, or Map Assets or Route FeaturesTo select single feedback from the Grid or directly from the Map:
- From the Map view, you can double click on a Feedback.
- From the Grid view columns: You can select the checkbox
to the left of the feedback.
- The See Details button: will appear when only 1 Feedback selected and will provide you with the Feedback details as described in section 1.3 Details Tab. The See details button is not available if multiple feedbacks are selected. Clicking the X will remove the current feedback selected.
- The Modify Status button: Where you can Modify the Status of a feedback (set a feedback status: Open, In Progress or Closed).
- The Reset button: Where you can Reset a Feedback (you will have to confirm your choice)
- The Convert button: Where the selected feedback(s) they can be converted to the following:
§ Convert Feedback into Tasks, if it is a pothole feedback, you can create a task to repair it.
§ Convert: Feedback into a Map Asset, like fire hydrants.
§ Convert Feedback to Route Features. Like Slow down, school zones, raise your plow, etc.
- From the Map view: You can select multiple Feedback directly from the map by using the Shift key on your keyboard and left mouse click and drag over the feedback you wish to include on the map in order to select them all. As your dragging your mouse, a grey rectangle will cover the feedback.
- From the Grid view columns: You can select the checkbox
to the left of each feedback.
- The (#) Selected button: represents the number of feedbacks currently selected: Clicking the X will remove the current number of feedback(s) selected.
- The Modify Status button: Where you can Modify the Status of the feedback (set a feedback status: Open, In Progress or Closed).
- The Reset button: Where you can Reset a Feedback (you will have to confirm your choice)
- The Convert button: Where the selected feedback(s) they can be converted to the following:
o Convert Feedback into Tasks, if it is a pothole feedback, you can create a task to repair it.
o Convert: Feedback into a Map Asset, like fire hydrants, that you can choose to display on the map.
o Convert Feedback to Route Features. Like Slow down, school zones, raise your plow, etc.
1.5 The Reporting Types of Feedback available on the Tablet*The Feedback Reporting types are pre-configured in the tablets to cover public works-related needs, but they also can be custom-configured to suit your needs. E.G., if your organization manages Waste Collection routes, the feedback(s) proposed in these routes can be related to this type of activity (example: a broken bin, bin not taken out to the curb, a spilled waste container, etc.).
1.6 Reporting a Feedback(s) from within the Tablet *
If the operator would like to report something back to the platform the operator can click on the Report icon on the Right side of his tablet screen and then select the type of Feedback (e.g. Pothole, Collision, Raised manhole) from the choices available displayed. If the operator selects a Feedback (e.g. a pothole) from the list, the pothole will be automatically reported in real-time back to the Rasters.io platform.
Once a Feedback has been selected and reported via the tablet by the operator.
The Feedback can be viewed back in the platform in Real time
Once a Feedback is created by an operator it is transmitted it can be viewed in the Rasters.io Analyze - Feedback section in the platform in real time and can be viewed on the Live Map.
