Lexicon

In order to familiarize you with the lexicon used in the various tools of the Rasters.io web portal and its mobile navigation application, we have listed the main words used with a definition to help you better understand them.

Name

Description

Activities

An activity is used to group courses by type.

Mobile navigation application

Mobile navigation application installed on the operator's Android tablet.

Blasts

Refers to an action taken by the operator for maximum spreading at high flow rates during a spreading activity.

Manager (Admin)

Designates the role responsible for the Rasters.io. account. The administrator (admin) is responsible for managing members, routes, vehicles, activities, etc.

Secondary instruction

Like the main operation, the secondary instruction informs the operator with a second level of information.

PIN

A unique code for each operator to use the mobile navigation application.

Operator

The operator is defined as a person who operates a vehicle with the mobile navigation application.

Main operation

The main operation is assigned to each route, allowing the operator to know at all times the type of mode for each route and segment.

Route

This is a route defined on the map that the operator must follow to complete an activity as part of his job.

Particularities

A feature can be defined as a point geolocated on a route to inform the operator of special information or instructions to be followed when approaching it.

Web portal

The portal is the web version of Rasters.io.

Segments

A segment is a fragment of a path where it is possible to define a visual style or customized information for the operation mode and/or secondary instruction.

Vehicles

Equipment e.g. truck, sweeper, scraper, spreader, etc. used in course operations.
